Why do you need scrapers?

In most cases, scrapers are software tools that make it possible to copy the content of other websites and, if necessary, process it according to your own requirements. Only with the support of scrapers is it economically viable to maintain your own website purely or primarily on the basis of third-party content.

Scrapers are used, for example, to initially create web directories and keep them as up-to-date as possible. Scrapers are used to search parts of the Internet for relevant data and to copy what is found. The commercial use of scrapers in particular quickly raises legal questions, so that the use of scrapers is generally not unproblematic.
