Drupal 7: End of Life verschoben auf November 2022

Attention "dusty"!

This article is already a little outdated and may contain information that no longer corresponds to the current status of the topic.

Drupal 7 was originally scheduled to reach its End of Life (EOL for short) in November 2021. Due to the impact of COVID-19 on company budgets, the Drupal community has announced that this date will be postponed by one year: The new EOL date for Drupal 7 is November 28, 2022.

What does this mean for my Drupal 7 site?

Website operators who have not yet switched to Drupal 8 will benefit from Drupal support for one year longer and will continue to receive regular security updates. They also have another year to migrate their Drupal 7 site to Drupal 9. All technical support ends on the EOL date. We have summarized all the important information about the switch for you in a previous blog article.

When is the EOL date for Drupal 8?

Since the EOL of Symfony 3 is coming up and the switch from Drupal 8 to Drupal 9 can be realized without too much effort, Drupal 8 will still reach its End of Life on November 2, 2021.
